Program Description

The Accounting Technician program prepares students for entry-level accounting positions in payables and receivables, bookkeeping and payroll accounting. This online distance education program covers financial decision-making tools for the small-business operator as well.

This is intended to be a one-year program. Fees below are based on full-time status.

The Accounting Technician certificate counts as the first year of training toward the Associate of Applied Science degree in Applied Accounting.

Admissions Requirements

Students entering this accounting certificate program are expected to have basic computer skills. If you’re concerned about this requirement, ask your advisor about enrolling in Computer Business Applications (CIOS F150).
