    35716 2019-01-14 to 2019-05-04 This course serves as an overview to international disaster management (IDM) addressing the complex and interrelated issues of disasters in a global context. The course will explore historical, socio-economic, risk, hazard, response, preparedness and recovery aspects of international disasters. Special emphasis will be placed on the understanding of those organizations and agencies which play a prominent role in the international disaster management arena. Scott Kuykendall 3.00 Prerequisites: Must be admitted to the MSDM program; or permission of the MSDM program director.
