50887 2021-05-17 to 2021-08-06 Numbers and data help us understand our society. In this course, we develop mathematical concepts and tools to understand what numbers and data can tell us. Topics may include the mathematics of elections and voting, modeling population growth, financial mathematics, polls and surveying, and introductory probability and descriptive statistics. Hillary VanSpronsen 3.00 Prerequisites: An appropriate score on the math placement test, or MATH F105, MATH F105N or MATH F105J.
