73980 2021-08-23 to 2021-12-11 Examines the environmental, political, cultural, and economic characteristics of Alaska and its sub-regions. Explores historical and contemporary political and economic relationships to Russia, the U.S., Asia, Circumpolar nations, and Alaska Native peoples. Also explores Alaska's contemporary resource development issues and environmental challenges, with an emphasis on impacts of climate change. Roger Pearson 3.00 OPEN REGISTRATION to all students. Register at your local campus or UAOnline. This class meets teacher certification by the Alaska Department of Education. You must have the ability to upload/download and stream audio/video files. You must be able to access YouTube. Books and materials may be purchased at the UAF Bookstore, This course uses UA Google Apps.
