Non-Degree Students

If you have enrolled in a University of Alaska course within the last two years, go to UAOnline to enroll. Don’t remember how? See the Registration Guide.

If you are a brand new student or it’s been more than two years since you last took a class, you can register here:

Current Students

During the registration period, current students enrolled in a program in the University of Alaska (UA) system can register at UAOnline.

UAF degree-seeking students must do the following:

  1. Meet with your academic advisor to plan your semester as soon as possible; even online classes fill up! Contact us at uaf-ecampus-advising@alaska.edu if you need help locating your advisor.
  2. Register at UAOnline. Get quick registration help here or contact our Registration Coordinator uaf-ecampus-reg@alaska.edu for assistance.

High School Students

High school is a great time to start earning college credit. Learn more about our Advantage program, which offers dual enrollment and package pricing for students in partner school districts. Find the registration form for high school students on the Advantage page.

Considering a Degree?

You don’t have to be admitted to a UAF degree program to start taking online classes (you can use the buttons above to register). But once you’re ready to earn a degree you should apply for admission. As a degree-seeking student you will be connected to your academic advisor and other support professionals who can help you achieve your goals.

Course Spotlight

Principles of Genetics

BIOL F260 UX1

UAF has the country’s first online class that enables students to do DNA sequencing at home. We’ll send you molecular genetics equipment and teach you how to sequence the contents of herbal dietary supplements to see if they actually contain the plant species listed on their labels. Spoiler alert: Many of them don’t!

Human Anatomy & Physiology I

BIOL F111X UX1

The lab kit you need for this four-credit class comes with a cow eye, a sheep brain and a fetal pig for lab assignments you’ll do at home. You will learn how the human body is structured and functions but in creative ways, including an actual art project.

Listening from the Inside Out

WRTG F214X UX2

All writing begins with listening: noticing something in your environment, noticing something in what you’re reading or responding to, and noticing something in yourself that needs to be explored and expressed. In this class you will study and discuss the art of listening and put what you learn into a self-directed writing project of personal interest.

Employability Skills for Success

BA F193 UX1

This one-credit course focuses on building key employability and career development skills. You will gain confidence and skills to prepare you for success in a future workplace, as well as valuable networking opportunities.
