Hayley, the newest member on the UAF eCampus team, exudes friendliness and eagerness to help. She’s always willing to go out of her way, even offering to grab coffee for the team. Although quiet and shy on Slack, our internal communication tool, her humor and way with words have shone through.
Q: What do you do at eCampus?
A: I am the Registration Services Coordinator for eCampus.
Q: How do you work with students?
A: I assist students with adding, dropping, and withdrawing from courses. However, a majority of my job includes helping High School students dual enroll in the Alaska Advantage program.
Q: How can students connect with you?
A: I am available by email at uaf-ecampus-reg@alaska.edu
Q: What do you like about working at UAF eCampus?
A: I enjoy working with students! School can be a wild ride, so I love doing what I can to make each student’s registration experience at UAF as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
Q: If you could choose a superpower what would it be?
A: I would choose teleportation. Imagine not having to wipe the snow off your car before you leave to run errands. Or not having to fill up your gas tank! It would also be great to skip the MANY hours of flying when traveling the world and visiting family members. I would also be reducing emissions from transportation vehicles, Therefore, I am positively impacting the environment as well!
Q: What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?
A: I would love to visit Holland as this is where my grandmother was born and raised. I’ve also always been fascinated by the stunning architecture and rich cultural heritage. It would be so fun to experience the beauty of Holland’s landscape by taking a boat trip down the canals, as well as stopping to see the tulip fields and windmills!
Q: What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?
A: “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take”-Wayne Gretzky”-Michael Scott
But seriously! Every shot you take will either be a success or it will be a learning experience. Sounds like a win-win to me!
