Working full-time and being busy with my family doesn’t leave much time for me to attend classes face-to-face. The online courses fit perfectly into my schedule and I have been very successful. My professors and advising team have been absolutely amazing. The quality of the curriculum and faculty has far exceeded my expectations.

I could not have become a marine mammal trainer without the Psychology department at UAF. Their support while I was a student and even afterward helped me achieve this dream!

I completed my Master of Education in Special Education through the University of Alaska Fairbanks with a majority of my courses having been taken through the eLearning program. As a full-time working mom, it was important for me to be able to participate in the program via the online opportunities that UAF provides. The eLearning program provided me the flexibility, expertise, convenience, and knowledge needed to become a special educator in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.

One of the most important aspects of becoming a history teacher is learning to be an expert in your field of study. UAF offers various immersive and exciting online history courses that allowed me to work and teach while still studying. I have the freedom to pursue many academic opportunities including research and club activities, enriching my overall experience at UAF.

I wanted to broaden my scope of practice in healthcare and decided on UAF’s MBA program. I love the small class sizes because I get more one-on-one interaction with the instructors. It has been a very rewarding experience and will propel me toward other exciting opportunities.
